Four TV trailers (three are 30 seconds long and one is 60 seconds) made for recruitment for the now-defunct Ecology Corps, created by Governor Ronald Reagan during the Vietnam era as a public service alternative to military service for conscientious objectors. Ecology Corps was a predecessor to California Conservation Corps. The film depicts the uniform and logo of the Ecology Corps and work activities of the Corps. The Ecology Corps was short-lived, existing from 1971 to 1976, but proved the value of labor crews (now civilian and inmate) for firefighting, search, and rescue and other fire prevention projects.
